What is the default IP configuration on Contabo servers?

Every server comes already pre-configured with one IPv4 and one IPv6 address. Additional IPv4 addresses can be ordered when placing an order for a new server through the Contabo website or by reaching out to the customer support team to purchase additional IP addresses for your existing server.

How can I configure additional IP addresses on my Contabo server?

Additional IPv4 addresses will not be added to your system automatically but will have to be configured manually.

Additional IPv4 addresses are always tied to a specific server by default. In case you want to use your IP on a different server, it is necessary to change the IP assignment within the Customer Control Panel in the section “IP Management”.
