Can I buy an SSL certificate with Contabo?
You can purchase a signed SSL Certificate or a wildcard SSL certificate (includes all subdomains as well) with Contabo.
You can order an SSL certificate together with your when first buying a product on the Contabo website, or you can order it separately for an existing product by contacting the Customer Support team.
If you do reach out to the customer support team to setup the SSL for you please provide them with the following information:
- Company name
- First name
- Last name
- Position
- E-mail address
- Telephone number
- City
- State
- Country
- Domain (for the SSL certificate)
- If you have the SHA-2 signed CSR (Certificate Signing Request). Alternatively the customer support team can create the CSR for you
You can raise a ticket with the customer support team via the Customer Control Panel here.
How does SSL renewal work with Contabo?
Depending on the details of the SSL certificate you purchase with Contabo the signature of each SSL certificate is valid for 12 months.
This period will not be automatically extended, but you will receive an email notification 1 month before expiration asking you to renew the SSL certificate.
