Object Storage limits and how to expand your capacity
What are the default limits for object storage?
Limits to ensure fair and reliable service for all users.
| Limit | Default value |
| Maximum file size | 5 TB |
| Objects per customer | 3 million |
| S3 API requests | 250 requests/second |
| Bandwidth | 10 MB/s (80 Mbit/s) |
| Buckets per customer | 100 |
Note: If a publicly shared object is set back to private, it may remain publicly accessible for up to one hour due to caching.
Can I increase my storage capacity?
Yes. You can increase storage in increments of 250 GB via the Customer Panel:
- Log in to the Customer Panel.
- Click Storage in the left panel, then select Object Storage (Buckets).
- Go to Storage Settings.
- Click the ⋯ (More) icon for the relevant storage and select Add more GB.
- Enter the amount to add (must be a multiple of 250 GB) and click Add & Pay. The extra capacity is available immediately.
Auto-Scaling
You can also enable Auto-Scaling so your storage expands automatically once the current limit is reached:
- Follow steps 1–4 above, then click Auto-Scaling Settings.
- Toggle Auto-Scaling On.
- Set the maximum monthly expansion (in multiples of 250 GB) and click Save Settings.
Can I increase the object count limit?
By default, you have a limit of 3 million objects. For most users this is more than sufficient.
