Can I setup nested virtualization with my server?

You can only setup nested virtualization with Contabo Dedicated Servers and Virtual Dedicated Servers (VDS). You cannot set up nested virtualization with Contabo Virtual Private Servers (VPS).

Specialized operating systems are available with Proxmox VE and XenServer. All Windows Server editions also come with Hyper-V support.  The only exception is if you choose a Virtual Dedicated Server and Windows Server, Hyper-V will not work.

Why can't I setup nest virtualization on my VPS?

Hardware features required to run virtual machines efficiently are not present in Contabos VPS offerings. Therefore, it is not recommended to run virtual machines on a VPS as the performance will be sub-par.
