Can I Use My Own Windows License on My Contabo Server?
If you have your own windows license it can only be used on a Dedicated Server. It is not possible to use your own Windows license on a Virtual Private Server (VPS) or a Virtual Dedicated Server (VDS).
It is not possible to use your own windows license on a VPS or VDS due to the licensing agreement between Contabo and Microsoft. Instead you will need to use the Windows Server license provided by Contabo. The terms of the license agreement require Contabo to charge a monthly fee for a Windows Server, which is determined by the size of the VPS/VDS you order.
If you have Contabo dedicated server then you can use your own windows license on it.
