My RDP connection isn't working, what can I do?

If you can reach your server via VNC but Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) is not connecting, the steps below should help you get RDP working again.

1. Check the RDP Port

Log in to your server via VNC and confirm which port the RDP service is currently using. Make sure you are connecting to the correct port number from your RDP client.

2. Review Your Firewall Settings

Check that your firewall allows inbound RDP connections on the correct port. If needed, add a firewall exception for RDP. These changes can be made from within your VNC session.

3. Still Having Trouble?

If RDP still isn't working after completing the steps above, please contact support and include any error messages you are seeing. Screenshots are especially helpful and allow our team to assist you more effectively.
