How Do I Rollback My Server to a Snapshot?

What is the rollback function?

With the rollback function you can revert your Virtual Private Server (VPS) back to the state it was at the time of a snapshot. With this functionality you can create a snapshot of your VPS when it is working correctly. Then if your perform an upgrade which causes issues to your VPS, you can simply rollback the VPS to the state it was in before the upgrade.

How do I rollback my server to a previous snapshot?

  1. Log in to the Customer Support Panel.
  2. Click "VPS control" from the blue "control panel" section on the left hand side of the page.
  3. Click the button in the snapshot column next to the VPS you would like to rollback to.
  4. Press the "Rollback" button next to the active snapshot you would like to rollback to.
  5. Once this is done you will get a notification that says "The snapshot has been rolledback successfully!".

As soon as the rollback has been completed you can use your VPS again in the state it was when the snapshot was made.

To note once you perform a rollback of your snapshot the system will automatically delete all more recent snapshots during the rollback. If this is the case you will get a warning message to say that more recent snapshots will be deleted. Also after a rollback the VPS will be returned to the specifications of the VPS at the time the snapshot was made. So if you have upgraded your VPS since making the snapshot rolling back will also remove the upgrades you made to the specifications of your VPS.
