Why am I getting an incorrect password error when logging into my server via VNC?

If you are having trouble logging in with your regular password, your keyboard layout may be reversed. For example, if your z and y keys are reversed, you must press the z key when you want to type a y, and vice versa.


You can easily test your keyboard settings by typing the password into the username input field (do not press Enter), watch what happens and compare the password with the result of your input to see if they match.


If this doesn't work, we recommend resetting your password which you can do with via the Customer Control Panel. There is a guide on how to do this here.
