Why can't I log in to my server via VNC?

We occasionally migrate instances in the background to ensure an even system load.

These migrations take place in the background and have no impact on you. All data, passwords and your IP address remain the same. Only the VNC connection details (IP and Port) change — the VNC password does not change during migration. You can always check the current host number in the Customer Control Panel, and the updated VNC connection details will be available by clicking on the 'Manage' button next to your VPS/VDS.

Note: VNC can only be accessed using a 3rd-party VNC client (e.g., VNC Viewer) — it is not accessible through the Customer Panel.

If you have successfully connected via VNC but are unable to log in to your server, please check the following:

  1. First, check if your keyboard layout is reversed. For example, if your z and y keys are reversed, you must press the z key when you want to type a y, and vice versa. You can easily test your keyboard settings by typing the password into the username input field (do not press Enter), watch what happens and compare the password with the result of your input to see if they match.
  2. Next, we recommend resetting your password. You can do this via the Customer Panel. There is a guide on how to do this here. Alternatively, you can watch our video on how to reset your password.

If you're still having issues logging into your server via VNC after following the steps above, you can contact the customer support team to look into this issue further.

You can raise a ticket with the customer support team via the Customer Panel.
